Marrakech has set, once again, to embrace the international cinema. Indeed, the 18th edition of the International Film Festival of Marrakech (FIFM) will be held from November 29 to December 7, 2019.
A new edition that promises, like the previous ones, to host a large-scale professional event – 110 000 people have attended the screenings in 2018- thanks, in particular, to the new sections and activities planned for the Festival, as the organizers stated in a press release.
And to add that besides the official competition, the Festival maintains its Panorama of Moroccan cinema and renews the concept of “Conversation With” which allows professionals and the general public to meet the big names of the world cinema. In other words, sessions of exchange and debate of very high quality!
But this 18th edition will also be an opportunity for new professionals to take part in a new edition of “Ateliers de l’Atlas”, the talent development program of the International Film Festival of Marrakech. Once again this year, special programs dedicated to the visually impaired and to young audiences will be featured.
Last year, 3,500 students from the Marrakesh region, some of whom had access for the first time to a movie theater, were able to watch films screened on the big screen. Briefly an 18th edition, rich in images, emotions, encounters, and light!
