Before the Town Hall Square, yellow vests received a surprise visit from a group of dakka marrakchia to warm up the atmosphere.
Equipped with bendirs (drums), qraqeb and trumpets, musicians dressed in Moroccan traditional clothes came to show their support for this movement initially launched to protest against rising fuel prices.

Holding hands, the protesters created a circle around the musicians while singing and dancing to the rhythm of the dakka marrakchia, before giving a thunderous applause to the band.
This is not the first time that Moroccan music resonates in the heart of the yellow vests movement. At the beginning of the month, a Moroccan music group based in Rouen was able to go through a barrage of protesters singing, in a dakka way, the famous slogan “Macron Resignation”.
