According to the Portuguese press, Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, was hospitalized on Tuesday morning in an emergency in Funchal, the capital of the Madeira archipelago. The 65-year-old mother of Juventus Turin striker had reportedly suffered a stroke.
When she arrived at the hospital, the healthcare team would have acted very quickly. Dolores Aveiro is said to be conscious and in a stable condition, but her condition calls for caution, as doctors await the results of the next tests to deliver a more precise diagnosis.
Cristiano Ronaldo quickly joined his sick mother in Portugal on March 3rd while he is set to play with his Juventus team in Italy, the Italian Cup semi-final against AC Milan Wednesday, on March 4.
Thank you for all your messages of support for my mum. She is currently stable and recovering in hospital. Me and my family would like to thank the medical team looking after her, and kindly ask that we are all given some privacy at this time.
