The collective work “Le Droit de Vivre” is presented on Wednesday, June 22 at Artorium. This book, bearing the same title as the exhibition “Le Droit de Vivre”, is currently on display at the Artorium art space of the TGCC Foundation until July 26 and published at La Croisée des Chemins, will be presented to the public.
Aside from, the reproductions of the works presented in the exhibition, this book reproduces original texts by thirty-seven Moroccan writers and intellectuals defending the abolition of the death penalty, indicates the TGCC Foundation in a press release, adding that “this exhibition and this book are the results of a citizens’ initiative launched by Driss El Yazami, Younès Ajarraï and Mahi Binebine who, convinced that the death penalty is inhuman, unjust and ineffective, wanted to strengthen the abolitionist dynamic in our country by soliciting intellectuals and visual artists, thus betting on culture as a means of broadening the mobilization for abolition. See you on June 22 at Artorium in the presence of some artists and writers from the project.
