Chris Brown released from Paris police custody following rape accusations

Tuesday, January 22, American pop RnB star Chris Brown has been released from police custody following rape allegations by a woman in Paris.  

Chris Brown made things clear on Instagram Tuesday night after his release. The RnB star has published an image on which is written “This b*** is lyin ” with a caption in capital letters: “I wanna make it perfectly clear … This is false (…)! NEVER !!!! For my daughter and my family, this is disrespectful and is against my character and morals !! “.

Accused of rape by a woman in Paris, the American singer, known for forensic issues in the United States, was released Tuesday night without being prosecuted at this stage . This custody, for “aggravated rape” and “violation of the legislation on narcotics”, began Monday.

The 25-year-old woman, claims to have been raped by the 29-year-old American artist , a friend and a bodyguard, on the night of January 15 to 16, at the Mandarin Oriental.  All three came out of custody Tuesday night without being prosecuted, said the Paris prosecutor’s office, however, that investigations are still persisting.

In an exclusive interview with Closer magazine, the alleged victim, under the pseudonym Karima, reportedly told the publication that she and Brown, along with his team, left the club at 4 a.m. She was allegedly convinced to return to Brown’s hotel despite her declaration that she was tired.

Mr. Raphaël Chiche, Chris Brown’s attorney, said that his client “strongly protests his innocence” and asked him to make a complaint “because of the slander of which he is unjustly the object”. The investigation is entrusted to the 1st district of the judicial police of Paris (1st DPJ).
