The Moroccan duo Zahraoui-Khalal caused a sensation at the 11th edition of the DC Embassy Chef Challenge in Washington. Chefs Faical Zahraoui and Yassine Khalal won the 2nd Jury Prize in this contest which brought together Chefs from around the world.
Thirty nationalities were represented. On the menu, “we prepared a seafood pie, with candied lemon and a little Moroccan touch, accompanied by an exceptional lamb mechoui (cooked on the grill) cooked for 36 hours with the magic spices of Chef Yassine Khalal”. describes Chief Fayçal who is in his third participation in this competition.
