“Casablanca International HipHop Festival On-line Edition” launched

From August 7 to 28, the first edition of “Casablanca International HipHop Festival On-line Edition” will be held under the organization of Ali Zaoua Foundation.

The “Casablanca International HipHop Festival On-line Edition” signed by the Ali Zaoua Foundation in partnership with the United States Embassy, the French Embassy in Morocco, the Dar America Cultural Center, the Goethe Institut and the French Institute of Casablanca.

“This first edition of the festival will shed light on 3 major disciplines of HipHop culture around 4 main highlights, in which a dozen international artists will take part as members of the juries “, the organizers explained in a press release.

The program includes Worldwide Dance Battle, a HipHop and Funk solo dance competition judged by three big names from the global hip hop scene, Tweet boogie, the renowned dancer and choreographer who has notably collaborated with Shakira and Janet Jackson, the German Storm and Frenchman Kane Wung.

Other activities include the 3rd Moroccan beatbox championship as well as the 1st Royal Jam beatbox which invites artists from the region, from Europe but also from across the Atlantic to battle each other. Workshops will also be posted on the official festival page @Casablancahiphopfestival (Instagram and Facebook).
