The United Kingdom is in shock. Prince Charles was tested positive for COVID-19 this Wednesday, March 25, 2020. In an official statement, Harry and William’s father’s services reported that he had “mild symptoms”.

At 71, Prince Charles “remains in good health”, with the exception of these symptoms, said Clarence House in a statement relayed by the British media The Guardian.

“In accordance with government and medical advice, the prince and the duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland,” read the statement. Prince Charles arrived at his Birkhall residence on Sunday. He was tested the next day.

“It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks”, continues the statement.

The tabloid The Mirror specifies that Camilla Parker-Bowles , the Duchess of Cornwall tested “negative” for the coronavirus. The two spouses are confined in the same house but in “separate” apartments in Scotland.
