Britain has voted to leave the European Union. And some celebrities are not happy about it .

The history making vote nicknamed “Brexit” has counted 52 percent votes for Britain to “leave” the EU over 48 percent to “remain”, as reported by UK media outlets. According to BBC news the exit process could take a minimum of two years.

And following the release of the numbers, several celebrities reacted to the news on their social media.

Author J.K. Rowling expressed her disappointment on twitter and wrote: “I don’t think I’ve ever wanted magic more” and added later “Goodbye, UK”

The American actress and London resident, Lindsay Lohan , urged  her followers to consider the “remain” option stating “ Good luck with the pound.. will take you about 15 years to get it back up #REMAIN instead,”

On the other hand, actress Elizabeth Hurley expressed her joy by tweeting “And suddenly the birds are singing…..still glued to the TV though”

The historical decision to leave the European Union will undoubtedly affect, not only the British economy, but also the international markets.
