Baccalauréat exams: 57.37% of the total number of successful candidates are girls

The success rate of ‘Baccalauréat’ exams reached 65.55% this year as opposed to 57.36% last year. The girls took away the majority of scores representing 57.37% of the total.

Out of the 323,668 candidates who took the tests of the Baccalauréat’s ordinary session, from June 11 to 13, 212,169 passed. The Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research announced this Sunday, June 23 in a statement. The success rate for this year reached 65.55% against 57.36% last year, more than 8.19%.

As always, the girls took the lead, representing more than half of the admissions, with 57.37% of the total. The best average was 19.40 / 20, recorded in the branch of mathematical sciences (B) option French language at the Regional Academy of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra.

For the international baccalauréat cycles, 23,671 were able to obtain it this year, while in 2018, they were 17,325 to pass, a success rate of 94.7%, the statement said. Moreover, the professional baccalauréat cycle has also registered a good improvement from 795 admitted last year to 3,646, which represents a success rate of 45.97% for 2019.

The statement also mentioned that disabled candidates who had the standardized national exam adapted to their needs achieved a success rate of 84%. From July 4th to 8th, the catch-up session will take place allowing 134,874 candidates to retake the exam. Thus the final results will be announced on July 13th.
