Aziza Jamal exhibits “Caftan Art Ancestral” at the Bab Rouah gallery in Rabat

Artist painter Aziza Jamal, who revisits the heritage by enhancing it, is presenting her latest creations as well as a magnificent collection of old caftans at Bab Rouah gallery in Rabat.

A real touch to the abundant creativity, the artist Aziza jamal is a designer, sculptor, artist-painter, jewelry designer and collector of old clothes. This passionate artist who has been exhibiting for more than three decades transports us for her latest exhibition in her colorful and eclectic world.

The body of women and traditions, are Aziza Jamal’s favorite themes. They’re highlighted in her last exhibition where she presents her paintings, her objets d’art and a unique collection of authentic ancient caftans, some of which are centuries old. The outfits presented come from several regions of the kingdom, and reveal heritage and craft treasures.

With her attention to detail, Aziza has managed to recreate atmospheres of the past and to stage costumes, jewelry and furniture of yesteryear.

The exhibition started on February 2 and continues until February 20 at Bab Rouah gallery in Rabat.
