 An exhibition on Salvador Dalí due in 2020 at Mohammed VI Museum in Rabat

An exhibition of Salvador Dali’s works in Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMVI) in Rabat for the fall of 2020, was the subject of agreement reached Thursday in Figueras.

The Mayor of the city and Vice-President of the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, Marta Felip, received Mehdi Qotbi, President of the National Museum Foundation (FNM) at his office  in Figueras, to organize an exhibition in the MMVI dedicated to the master of surrealism.

In a statement to the MAP, Mehdi Qotbi said he was invited to Figueras by the Gala-Salvador Dalí Foundation, in order to organize an exhibition in Rabat dedicated to this great figure of 20th century art, after the success that the exhibition on Picasso scored.

« The availability of an exhibition on Salvador Dalí is very much on the agenda, » he congratulated, saying that an agreement in principle was reached for an exhibition in the fall of 2020.

Painter, sculptor, screenwriter and writer, Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) is considered one of the main representatives of Surrealism and one of the most prominent Spanish surrealist artists of the 20th century.
