The powerful voice of the diva Hadda Ouakki resonated last Friday, January 12 at the Technopark in Casablanca. To celebrate the Amazigh new year 2968, the contemporary music center Boultek in partnership with Tamaynut association has invited the emblematic figure of the Aïta art to come on stage.
Since the end of the 60s, this artist raised the colors of the Amazigh song and inscribes, by her texts, in this musical tradition which mixes daily life and poetry. This native of Zaouit Aït Ishaq in the Khénifra region, made her debut in the company of master Bennaceur Oukhouya and remained, for a long time, one of the rare Amazigh singers to cross the borders of her region to win over people both in Morocco and abroad.
On the program of the evening, an afro-ethnic DJ set by MR ID, also preformed followed by a discovery concert with the duo of the Amazigh song Amawas and Artuf. Traditional outfits were on display while id yennayer meals and unlimited tea were within reach.
