Afri’Cask is the new project of the company ANYA – organizer of the Visa For Music festival. The concept consists of sharing a weekly playlist reflecting the tempo of new musical trends from the African continent.
As part of the desire to promote the musical richness of the African continent, the cultural engineering company ANYA – organizer of the Visa For Music festival – is launching its new Afri’Cask concept for this new school year in 2021: a weekly playlist program, to discover new musical trends on the African continent.
Each week, carte blanche will be given to an African cultural actor to help us discover the musical novelties of their country. The year 2021 will be an opportunity to travel across the African continent, a breeding ground for world music. An auditory immersion in the discovery of Nigerian Afropop, Ivorian Offbeat Coupé, Congolese rumba, North African Rap and Rai, Cape Verdean Morna, to name a few.
Through the first Afri’Cask Playlist, discover the Tanzanian musical landscape, through the headphones of Youssouf Mahmoud, a music professional and director of the Sauti Za Bausara , benchmark festival on the island of Zanzibar, partner of Visa for Music.
