An NGO called “Leaders for Peace” (LPP) was created Thursday in Paris on the initiative of former French Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin with a Council made up of 25 personalities including Mrs. Assia Bensalah Alaoui, Goodwill Ambassador of King Mohammed VI.

Speaking of the objectives set by this NGO, Mr. Raffarin said that it will be entrusted with alerting international public opinion on the risks of emerging crises, promoting innovative strategies of influence to the leaders of the world, rebuilding a thought of peace and inventing a dialogue in the face of adversity.

It will also promote “the spirit of peace”, a concept that tends to become commonplace, by missions of pedagogy and influence, he said during a press conference presenting the NGO, the MAP reported.

In addition to Assia Bensalah Alaoui, the Council of the “Leaders for Peace” NGO is made up of 24 other personalities, like former Prime Ministers (the Italian Enrico Letta, the Hungarian Peter Medgyessy, the Burkinabe Tertius Zongo ..), the former Secretary General of the UN, Ban Ki-Moon, and the former deputy secretary of former US President Barack Obama, Antony Blinken, all of whom also have extensive experience in international relations and a deep knowledge of public opinion.
