‘90210’ actor Luke Perry passed away at 52

American actor Luke Perry, who was hit with a stroke last Wednesday, died on Monday morning, TMZ reported. The news was confirmed by his agent Arnold Robinson.

He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, his fiancée Wendy Madison Bauer, his ex-wife Minnie Sharp, as well as his mother, brother, and sister.

The family thanks fans around the world for their support, but demands respect for their privacy during this time of mourning. “No additional details will be given in the immediate future,” the statement said.

The actor was particularly known for his role as Dylan McKay in Beverly Hills 90210 . More recently, he was featured in the Riverdale series, where he performed Fred Andrews, Archie’s father.

Luke Perry had been hospitalized the same day Fox Studios had announced the relaunch of the Beverly Hills series, 90210 for six episodes this summer. The name of Luke Perry did not appear in the cast.

On the other hand, six other characters from the original series will comeback namely: Jason Priestley (Brandon Walsh in the series), Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor), Ian Ziering (Steve Sanders), Gabrielle Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman), Brian Austin Green (David Silver) and Tori Spelling (Donna Martin).
