200,000 People attended Mawazine’s final performances by Maluma and Karol G

The 18th edition of the Festival Mawazine could not have had a better ending than the one that took place on Saturday, June 29 with Maluma and Karol G. The two artists drew a record-breaking number of festivalgoers.  

Saturday, June 29th. At the OLM-Souissi, emotions were running high. On stage, Maluma, and Karol G, both of whom were scheduled for the closing of the 18th edition of the Mawazine-Rhythms of the World Festival.

The very popular Colombian artist captivates with his hits “Corazon”, “Sale Pa ‘Ca” or “Chantaje” that he normally sings in duet with Skakira. Many highlights also punctuated the evening, including the wave of emotions that invades the singer in view of the impressive number of people and the warm welcome received – a record-breaking 200,000.

In return, Maluma, visibly overwhelmed with gratitude, dressed in a Moroccan jersey and held above a Moroccan flag, before singing two more of his hits “Carnival” and “Felices los 4”.

Karol G,  who won in 2018 the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist is also a Colombian singer. She captivated the audience with her tracks “Ocean” and “A Ella”, which the public had no trouble recognizing.

Wrapped in the Moroccan flag, it is with a lot of emotions that the artist, accompanied by her dancers and her guitarist, confides to the public that her presence in Mawazine is the realization of a childhood dream.
