The whole world is aware of the conflict that has been ongoing in Syria for five years. Nearly 13.5 million Syrians have been affected by the conflict, including 8.4 million children.
That’s why Katherine Davies founder of an association named Iguacu, decided to walk 1000 km. The purpose of this march rallying London to Geneva is to collect messages of peace worldwide and to raise funds for organizations that specialize in assisting victims of war.
This woman,41, has crossed Europe via the southern United Kingdom, France and Switzerland. During her walk Katherine was able to collect more than 700 messages of peace from people she met or on social networks. Two months later, Katherine Davies has finally arrived in Geneva and has hand-delivered to his collection Staffan de Mistura, Special Envoy of the UN and in charge of finding a solution to the Syrian conflict.
