Seven cosmetics companies set up an association in Morocco

Written by FDM

The cosmetics sector has just seen the rise of a new body: the Moroccan Cosmetics Association, founded on January 26 in Casablanca by seven companies, namely Avon, Colgate Palmolive, L’Oreal, Pelisssard, Pierre Fabre, Procter & Gamble, and Unilever.

“Beauty has always had a prominent place in Moroccan culture, and cosmetics represent a dynamic sector that the association will have the mission to develop with all its actors” as stated by the president of the association.

The goals of this initiative are therefore numerous. The founding members wish to develop the sector through this mutual collaboration, weather at the national or international level or to ensure the exchange of information on scientific innovations, new technologies or the background behind them.

Through this association, they also want to involve the Moroccan public authorities in copying and imitations of trademarks, designs and models, as well as promoting the safety and quality of cosmetic products.
