Imaan Hammam holds a new Vogue record

Written by FDM

It’s official. Imaan Hammam is definitely one of the ladies who have marked the modeling spectrum in 2017.

After having walked shows and landed campaigns with major brands, Dutch model of Moroccan-Egyptian decent can now boast a new record: She happens to be the runway star who’s landed the most international Vogue covers in 2017!

According to Vogue Arabia, the Moroccan-Egyptian beauty tops the list with nine covers in 2017. She’s followed by sisters of Palestinian decent Gigi and Bella Hadid with, respectively, 8 and 7 magazine covers. The magazine called them « the game-changing Arab models ».

Imaan Hammam has indeed appeared on the cover of Vogue Japan in February, by Luigi & Iango, Vogue UK in February, Vogue China in March and Vogue Arabia in April, all three by Patrick Demarchelier.

She also starred in one of the US edition of the magazine, the best-selling in the world, in March 2017, photographed by Inez & Vinoodh, but also alongside Pharrell Williams for the 125th anniversary of Vogue in December, with a cover and a photo shoot signed by Mario Testino.

Imaan was recently spotted in Morocco alongside model Nora Attal, also of Moroccan origins in the desert of Zagora, for the needs of a project still kept secret.
