Many Internet users pointed out and spoke against the latest ad on their Facebook account. Dove apologized in a Tweet and admitted it had « missed the mark ».
An image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully. We deeply regret the offense it caused.

The Facebook advertising campaign used a series of three images, showing a black woman peeling off her T-shirt to reveal a white woman underneath her skin.
A third image shows the white woman undressing to reveal an Asian woman. A video of 3 seconds that simply triggered the anger of the Internet users who found it « shameful « , even calling for a boycott.
